honestly I'm just sick to death of wotc printing boring anticlimactic "you win" spells, kill all of them.

As of now, I think I spend more time arguing with players about the format than I do playing fun and interactive games of Commander. And last time I read, this was not the format's purpose.

i enjoy a funny alt win spell, but it does seem like they are pretty easy to achieve. heck, with revel in riches, it just makes the card a big "kill me now" target, where it would be more fun without the "you win" part

So, I know this isnt commander, but, after Arena's "play anything" weekend I feel like i can safely say Happily ever after is MUCH harder to achieve than Coalition Victory.

During time spiral and OG Ravnica block, I did a rare thing and played standard. I made a Coalition Victory deck with a bunch of fetch and Quickchange and Glittering Wish and i actually won the ocational game against some of the FNM decks i played against.

On arena, I never even got CLOSE to setting up a Happily Ever After win. I got to do a crazy 5-c Niv Mizzet thing one game, but it's a LOT more hoops to get all the permanent types represented AND keep your 5-c creature in play, all the while giving your opponents answers.

Citizen Tokens from Plane Wide Celebration seem to do the trick really well, though my plan is to add Happily Ever After to my Enchantments + Primal Surge deck and see what happens.

It has...
Loads of Enchantments, Enchantment Creatures, and Lands
1 Enchantment Artifact and 1 Sorcery
....
...
.

Will be nifty to see it work.

Upkeep before draw, you'll win before you draw from an empty library. Although everyone has a turn to try and make you draw a card

The deck does run a copy of Enhanced Surveillance and The Mending of Dominaria for shuffle effects... so Enhanced Surveillance might save me. = )
